My name is Dea Dhrami, and I'm a 29-year-old Italian with Albanian origins.
Since childhood, I've always enjoyed reading and writing. In 2012, I won the Italian Literary Contest "Lo Scrittoio" with the essay "From Yellow to Black Gold", in which I analyzed the Africa's energy exploitation by Western Countries.
I lived in different places, including Dubai, where I wrote"Desert of Gold", a fiction novel addressing the issues of expatriation through the perspectives of three distinct social classes. I published "Desert of Gold" on Amazon in 2018.
This year, during lockdown, I completed my second novel "The Alien Coming from The Sea", narrating the story of Sajmir Veli, a fictional Albanian boy who struggles to accept his origins and to integrate in a new country. The book is loosely based on my own experience as an immigrant and hasn't been published yet.
When I'm not writing, I work in International Business in Paris, France.
