Bios make no sense to me. I understand the general concept, and can see the appeal-- minimal effort and a skimable summary to see their immediate interests without having to look too deep under the surface-- perfect!

Yet despite existing as a way to express oneself, they are all the same. It's either an aesthetic quote found on tumblr, a list whose sole purpose is to cram any and all common interests into as little space as possible, or a singular word or phrase expressing their utter disdain for the whole process. I do see the occasional long-winded rambling, but not often.

People tend to not appreciate a good ramble. Each style of bio has its own merits, but it is by far my favorite. Sure, lists can easily connect people to those with similar interests, and a word or phrase may be able to show a glimpse into that person's perspective, but I've found that I enjoy the unfiltered midnight tangents of a writer, how they can best help me slip into another's psyche. To see how they see the world, to see how they process, to see their brain's instinctive filtering as it funnels thoughts into type.

So, to anyone who's remotely interested, my name is Ash. I am in no way the straightest girl in the world, nor am I the most well-rested or well-adjusted. I live on the internet, listen to musicals, make puns and watch cartoons in order to try to avoid any semblance of responsibility and to distract myself from the immense stress of being a teenager in our society. I am almost always reading, and I write a lot too, but nothing substantial or of note. Most of my writing never sees the light of day as motivation is a fleeting thing. Also, as if it hasn't been painfully obvious, I may have a mild obsession with commas.

Now I guess we are at an impasse-- this is a one sided thing and there is a limited character amount. So with that, I'll leave you to your thoughts, to your dreams, to your life and to your future.

With love, hate, and a fair bit of indifference,
Ash.

I've had basically the same bio for 2+ years so I changed it. That's a thing I guess
