I'm the New York Times bestselling author of the hardboiled mystery Identity Crisis, featuring Maryland lawyer-sleuth Stephanie Ann "Sam" McRae. I've also written and published Invisible Me, a young adult novel, The Planck Factor, a thriller, and several short stories, one of which was nominated for a Derringer Award.
The thing that inspired me to write a lawyer-sleuth novel was that I wanted to write stories about a female protagonist who solved mysteries and did so without compromising legal ethics -- much! One of the big obstacles Sam faces in solving mysteries is doing so without using the usual private eye trickery.
Right now, the Sam McRae mystery series includes four novels. If you'd like a free copy, just click this link: http://bit.ly/IDCFree
I hope to all more books to the Sam McRae series. At the moment, I'm working on a new mystery series with a female Marine veteran sleuth named Erica Jensen. The first book in that series is called DAMAGED GOODS.
I try to post updates here once a week.
I've worked as a waitress, a photography model, a substitute school bus driver, a typist, an attorney, a freelance writer, and a reference librarian, among other things.
My interests include reading, music, movies, travel, walking, baseball, and cats. And good espresso. Not necessarily in that order.
