          "This Dark Magic," ch. 58 of Desperate Hearts is now actually up and ready to read. Storybrooke converges on the bridge.

Desperate Hearts update (finally!) - ch. 57 "The Purest Magic of All." The mysterious box accomplishes its mission. A pitchfork mob begins to gather. Can Mr. Gold's magic stand up to it?

Just posted Desperate Hearts ch. 56, "Nothing But Darkness." Can Belle pierce Mr. Gold's grim heartache and lead him back into the light?

In Desperate Hearts ch. 55, "Despite Everyone's Best Efforts," Mr. Gold stumbles out into the night...

In Desperate Hearts ch. 54, "Pay the Price," Mr. Gold pursues the Blue Fairy's version of what happened to Baelfire to its bitter end. 
          
          After a two-week break (and nearly a week hosting two sisters-in-law, their husbands and kids), my house in back in order and my posting is back on track. The flood of family was fun (swimming every day, my nine-year-old nephew went from clinging to his dad to finally swimming on his own), but a lot of work.

Desperate Hearts update: in "Despite What You Hope," the Blue Fairy makes her move. Charming and Snow White and their daughter Emma search for lost boys. 
          
          So much for an update every Friday! At least this is a weekly update. Yesterday, real life intruded.

In "Nothing I couldn't Handle," more boys get lost. Belle and Gold share a sweet moment before thoughts of his own lost boy drag him away. 
          
          The first half of June I was busy with visits to Dallas, Charlotte and Toronto. Now I'm busy preparing for visits. But "Desperate Hearts" will continue unfolding one chapter a week.

In chapter 51, "What's Your Plan," of the Once Upon a Time Rumbelle/Swanfire romance, Desperate Hearts, Rumple shares his most shining hopes with Belle. But with another 49 chapters ahead, the road to reach them will be rocky.

Just posted chapter 50 "Honesty of the Heart" of my Once Upon a Time Rumbelle/Swanfire romance Desperate Hearts. Rumple sees a shining new future. Will he seize it?

In Toronto for one of my nieces' college graduations (bachelors in psychology from York University). Just ten years ago, she was a refugee. (We're so proud!)
