She's in Japan right now. She goes to school in Tokyo. Her grandparents live there. And yes, Kanji is hard. Writers sometimes have to learn up to 2000 characters! Regular folks about 200. Still... Brutal. Add to that katakana and hiragana. My head is spinning just talking about it.
