I’m headed to Laramie, Wyoming after three years in New York City, I was assigned a project to paint from the perspective of a commoner from the 1890’s. The first thing I noticed when I got there was the bright yellow, and burnt orange corn fields, the beautiful blue sky with clouds that looked like ripples of water dripping from a waterfall, and the grassy knolls off in the distance. Come sunfall the beautiful cascade of coloring that lined the skies, bright pink, tisks of dark fiery red, burnt orange, and small lanes of white, it looked like it came straight from “The Lion King”. I got out my canvas, paint, and brushes, to begin slaving over the beautiful sunset, and nature that was surrounding me. ‘This is my best work,’ I thought to myself as Gen appeared behind me. “Hey, how’s the assignment coming Ethan,” she asked, I had met Gen earlier on in the day, she showed me around and taught me the things that I needed to know, some of which I already knew. We’ve been getting along great, “It’s coming great,” I replied.
