Hello everyone (all ten of you out there),
This is Dorothea Penrose, your very not-so-famous favorite author of "The Forest Remembers".
Okay, so not that anyone really cares, but I wanted to say that I’ll be pausing work on the book for a while—honestly, I’m not sure until when—because of academics. I probably won’t be posting any new chapters, maybe until next year.
And yes, it’s actually really heartbreaking for me too (I know, I know—no one asked ). I started writing this back in 2023 when I was in 9th grade, and over time I’ve changed the plot, rewritten things, and improved my writing a little. I really wanted to finish it this year, but… that’s not happening.
Still, I will complete it next year. That’s a promise.
Also, a tiny spoiler: there will be a Part 2 of this book (yes, I know it’s not even halfway done yet—don’t judge me). I don’t know when I’ll write it, but I know I will someday.
