I have always been, and will always be, an academic dichotomy; a scientist with an insatiable appetite to be creative. Growing up I wanted to be a veterinarian and even attended a veterinary university where I discovered my love for embryology; a small broom closet of a subject along the way. But as any C.S. Lewis fans will know, even a closet can open up a million avenues. I pushed aside the coats and entered the world of developmental neurobiology, starting a four year PhD which through its own plot twists and dead ends lead to the discovery of a minuscule sequence of code's function. After stretching the scientific envelope and ever so slightly puncturing it, I decided to use my creativity and background to teach those that could possibly glean something from it. Where am I now? I'm a physics teacher exploring my creativity, and I couldn't be more comfortable.
