I have been writing for most of my life, mainly for myself. Read my stories and you will notice many "mistakes" with my grammar. Some are mistakes, most are intentional. I prefer to write the same way as I speak; plainly and with all the nuance and tomfoolery associated with the english language as spoken in America.
This will undoubtedly get me in trouble with all the english majors and "proper" writers. But hey, it's my story. I won't complain about your dangling participles if you leave my fragments alone.
My point is, we all have a voice and we need to find it. I used to complain that most of the kids here wouldn't know narrative from dialogue (which most don't). That, however, is ok. Because at the very least, you're writing. There are so very many kids on Wattpad that are really remarkable writers, yet are overshadowed by the Twilight/interview with the vampire/my teachers in love with me crowd that at times I feel a bit disheartened by it all.
In the end even alphas and vamps need love too, I suppose. So here we are. I won't have vote goals or read goals. I don't post my favorite bands (BIEBER!....not.) and I positively refuse to beg my fans for more reads and votes or I won't post my latest chapter. If it ain't got it, you won't get it.
Write well, my friends. No matter how badly you do it. Just write well.
