I am working on a story, it will be part of a 2 book set of all goes well. It is however far more ambitious than anything I have attempted before.
It needs to be character driven... and I put it on hold because one of my key characters came off much too flat. I need to rethink and rewrite the start of the book.
I would like to discuss the characters and character development....bounce ideas off of a few people. If interested, PM me soon.
The first will be more of a thriller, less certain how the second will turn out. The Bad Guy finds a reason to change in the first book. In the second he faces a new kind of challenge. Even if he wants to change now...can he?
The first book will be Chef Scherezade. I have not named the second book yet. Both will be far more challenging than anything I have attempted before.
......
My only finished work is not yet posted and is under editing. I intend to post it for the wattys 2019. It is honestly a fluff piece, very formula however well it came out.
There is room for a darker sequel with an assassin ex-lover, cops trying to make her doubt him, and getting an eyefull of just how bad the 'bad things' he does can be. Plus, the Nice Guy who loved her is finally starting to take an interest in someone else.
'Shooting the Messenger' is good, I'm happy with how it came out, but it is pretty basic. The sequel would be more complex and interesting. I don't know what the sequel will be called. Ideas?
