          I'm pleased to share some great book-related new to share with you today:
          
          I will be doing a signed book giveaway on Goodreads in June. More details to come very soon!
          
          A Decent Woman was selected as July 2015 Book of the Month by the national organization, Las Comadres Y Friends. There will be a teleconference interview in early July, and I'm very excited about this! I will share the details soon.
          
          A Decent Woman is available on Amazon in paperback and in ebook format in several countries: the United States, the UK, France, Germany, and Japan. I discovered this by Googling the title of my book; amazing what you find out when you Google youself!
          
          For those readers living in NYC or traveling to NYC, A Decent Woman is now sold at La Casa Azul Bookstore in Brooklyn, NY! I will be at La Casa Azul in October, giving a presentation and signing copies of my book. Very exciting and I look forward to meeting you if you're in the area.

I had a huge surprise yesterday--my historical novel, A Decent Woman came out on Amazon two weeks earlier than our intended book launch! Well, after the initial, thrilling shock, and a bit of scrambling about with Hannah, my Book Manager, I sat down and thought, "It finally happened."
          
          After several years of writing, rewriting, editing, and more editing, tonight I am holding a copy of my book. It is surreal. As I thumb through the pages and let my eyes fall where they may, I  have a memory of a passage I agonized over, the perfect description, inspired moments of writing, and life's interruptions. What a journey this has been.
          
          The manuscript that began as a tribute to my maternal, Puerto Rican grandmother for her 90th birthday is a book. I know my mother and grandmother are looking over my shoulder tonight. Every now and then, I'll look over my shoulder and smile at them. My grandmother's midwife, Dona Ana, who was my inspiration for this novel is proud of me. My children are kind of awestruck by it all, as am I. "My Mom wrote a book," they each wrote on their Facebook pages. I smiled and blessed them.
          
          After ten years of writing and a lifetime of living a creative life--I am an author.
