Twenty years ago, at the age of three, I asked my mom to write down a 'Land Before Time' story I'd come up with in my head. I dictated it to her, and illustrated it myself. Since then, I have been unable to stop writing. As a toddler, I'd fill page after page with scribbling lines, pretending I was writing down something amazing. Even today, a blank page in a notebook always screams out to me, begging to be covered in meaning.
I've wanted to be a teacher, a museum curator, a make-up artist, even a paleontologist. But my mind always comes back around to same thing: writing. I feel in every one of my bones that a writer is what I was truly meant to be.
I prefer to write Y/A fiction. Although I'm no longer a teenager myself, I can remember distinctly the highs and lows I experienced. I strive to portray this transitory period in all our lives, as we struggle to figure out who we are and what we want. It's an experience we all share, however different our personal stories may be.
I hope that you enjoy reading my stories just as much as I enjoyed writing them.
