✡️🎗️ 🕊️🎗️✡️ Hello, and welcome to my page. I am a 17 year old poet and Jew whose poems seek to recall and memorialize the voice, vision, and literary expression of the great poet and Jew Emma Lazarus. Emma Lazarus was born in 1849, in NYC, to American Sephardi Jews. She started writing poetry when she was eleven and became a  published poet when she was 18. She passed when she was very young (only 38) due to cancer. In her short life she gave her fellow American Jews a voice, gave the Statue of Liberty the iconic sentiment it has today, and called on the creation of Jewish state in a decolonized Judea making her one of the most important and powerful Jews in literature. If only she could see her people now.
