I have had this account for almost eight years now & I'm currently in my 20's. I have read things at an inappropriate age & I have left weird comments the internet will never delete (face palm), but I truly love this forum of creativity. I believe as aspiring writers, we put ourselves into our characters & lives in our storylines. Who I was then is way different today from who I am now, but many of my values for writers have stayed the same.
I appreciate the writers who set a plan and complete a story from beginning to end, with a schedule, & release dates, & the whole production is flawless.
I also understand the writers who have sh*t to do in their lives & have to hiatus or discontinue stories that would've been awesome.
I respect the writers who have a really great idea & try & jot it down, upload it, & keep it moving because a good idea can only stay for so long. Sometimes it's just hard to rev up the ideas again.
I fall between these three examples as a writer & I honestly feel bad because the kid I was (am) has matured since I first put pen to paper (fingers to keyboard). I'm way more culturally aware and educated of my own culture, I'm much more reserved in the way I comment (cuz universities kicking people out nowadays *sipping tea* , for good reason!), and I'm genuinely happier for how I've grown.
If I do write, I hope people take away some ideas about my culture, my beliefs, and my successes/struggles and let me release some long overdue pent up ideas, because I got'em girl
Thanks 🙏🏾
