Hi,

I'm new to Wattpad and sharing my stories, after furtively writing many years at home. Firstly, I love reading, and Historical Fiction has always been one of my favourites. I read Gone With the Wind when I was 11 and that, along with a great History teacher, sealed my interest in History. I studied History and Politics then taught History myself to lovely 14-18 year olds, who made me laugh every single day and cry bi-monthly. I hope my writing appeals to a younger audience as well as older.

As for writing, I write because I find people interesting. I like the process of creating a new world in my head and trying to convey that on paper/the screen. I love hearing about life stories and History provides a plethora of them. Trying to portray a convincing human being with all their complexities is what I will keep aiming for.

The book I am writing at the moment is about the death and possible murder of Amy Robsart, which I've always been intrigued by since reading a Jean Plaidy book on it. There are many possible versions of the story, I hope you like mine...Thanks for reading, it's great to be on here.

I am currently working on a YA short story (thanks to @starz00 for research help!) and a YA fantasy book.

A special thank you to @gemmalawrence for her continued generosity, @wilsongill for being the first person to give really useful feedback and @flights_of_fantasy for fantastic editing and general generous help with the craft of writing.

As for Wattpad etiquette, I'm fairly relaxed. I'll try and read your stories and don't mind much at all. Good luck to everyone on here.
