Okay, I can’t be the only one who’s pissed at the Gang of Secrets episode. I’m less pissed at Marinette, even though I’m salty towards her right now. I’m pissed that the writers used Adrien and Marinette’s secret identities to break up Lukanette and Adrigami, but since we’re talking about Marinette I’ll focus on Lukanette. Luka is a very observant guy, and based on the Silencer episode, it was almost obvious that Luka knew Marinette was Ladybug. If not, he would of at least noticed that his girlfriend only disappeared during akuma attacks, so their reason for breakup is very stupid. I would of much preferred for Luka to realize that him dating Marinette while she was still in love with Adrien is very unhealthy for both of them. He is certainly mature enough to reach that conclusion, and such action would add dimension to a relatively flat character.
This brings me to my displeasure with the Gang of Secrets episode. Marinette and Alya’s friendship was put in danger for the same reason that Marinette and Luka’s relationship was. Last time she couldn’t tell him and the broke up, but 2 weeks later she can tell Alya and everything’s fine?!!
Something reeks of bad writing...
