[playing. . . “Ready for my Show!” by Ado]

Boom, boom, boom, boom - Crash!
Her hands beat down onto her drums, muscles burning at the release of their strength. The quick and loud crashes drowned every other thought as she went crazy on the rise.
She was playing ‘Zombie’ by The Cranberries. It was an old-school song with a wicked hard drum play that carried decades of anger and sorrow. Her heart thrummed in its own flurry of song. It pumped as sweat clung to her favorite TV-Girl shirt. She shut her gray-blue eyes and clenched her drumsticks like her life depended on it. Honestly, it did; she was no one without the pulse of music within her veins.
The music shook in her bones as she held the urge to tap her foot on the floor of her room, so as not to break focus. She approached the last quarter of the song, anticipation flooding into her chest.
She gritted her teeth and hit so hard she thought that she would break her instrument. Still slamming down, she opened her eyes.
Her heart skipped a beat as a small gasp escaped her mouth. From the doorway, three people with wide matching grins watched as she hit the last beats. She broke into an equal smile, ears still ringing. “Hey brochachos,” she gasped, her lungs begging for air as her face flushed at the audience.
Her bandmates and older brother rushed over to her as she shrunk back in her seat. “Dude, that was wild! You’re better than Fergal Lawler!”
Note: Not writing in who said that until cast comes out! Heehee
