Hey everyone! It's been a minute but finally, finally, my dissertation is complete, and guess what? I scored the highest marks in my class! 90/100 (which is practically full marks in the social sciences. And I know I couldn't have done any of it without all 545 of you wonderful authors and readers who filled out the survey and of course, those who did the interviews ♥️✨.
The results of the research are mind-blowing, by the way! So much so that the second my thesis defense ended, the panel unanimously asked me to make sure that the research was published. I am really looking forward to condensing my 108-page thesis (the requirement was 25 pages XD) into a 6-page research paper - god help me :').
I am eager to put up sneak peeks of the results soon, but I am unsure whether that would be allowed. So, bear with me a little longer because I know all of you are eager to understand how Wattpad and the buzzing question of Representation are intertwined. There were some insights that literally blew my mind. For example, did you know that race actually plays a huge role when it comes to queer representation, even on an inclusive platform like Wattpad? There are secret, subversive biases everywhere!
Anyway... thank you all so much once again and please stay tuned for the final paper ♥️✨
