I love writing, reading and watching romance.  Growing up I read several romance novels but none of the novels depicted characters who looked like me or faced the issues I faced.  As an adult my focus is on writing romance novels that have Indian characters in them.  I weave the Indian aspects of life - food, culture, religion spirituality and the mix of East and West into my novels and their characteristics.  

I also believe in adding a dose of reality to my novels - they are still romance related but more realistic romance.  I had a reader tell me that in one of the scenes where the couple is fighting seemed so real.  Let's just say some real life experience was definitely infused through there.

Even though many of my characters are Indian my stories appeal to a wide audience and I have readers from all around the world tell me that they can relate to the couple.  I believe there are many common aspects of a successful relationship that are relatable to everyone regardless of race, religion or geography.
