I think it's fun to imagine that writers have a sort of extra sense. We can see into places that exist, but not here, or at least not any more. That's how we come up with the stories we share, keep to ourselves, heck, the ones we don't even bother to write. We're telling the stories of people who have been forgotten, and helping them be remembered. Showing the world the forgotten and hidden adventures that nobody knows about, not until we put it on paper.
