#blacklivesmatter isn’t just a trend. I know I don’t have that many followers but if you come across this message you need to realize what this truly is. EVERYONE to some extent is racist. we’ve grown in a society that diminishes the rights to those with darker skin tones. we’ve learn to be suspicious of the mentioned individuals. although this not just an American issue, we can look at American history and see just how it came to be. white people came to this land, raped and murdered indigenous people. not only that but they kidnapped Africans from their land and turned into salves with barely any sense of a proper life. slavery continued for 400 years. and the belittlement of black people still continues today.
I feel proud to know that many people are deciding to donate and amplify black voices.
personally, I have never been a victim of racism and I understand just how privileged I am. privileged that i can do normal acts and not have them be taken as a threat to the safety of those around me.
i know my opinion shines in a completely different light than those who have experienced racism.
this is a time to become educated and help out our fellow people because every injustice made to the people of this world is an injustice to yourself the good deeds you do becomes good deeds to the people of this world. if you decide to be silent your making and injustice to yourself and others.
if you are a black person please know you matter and you are worth it. you are more then stereotypes and the stigma of your skin color.
