PERSONAL

I lost my eyesight in 2007 and thought I would never write again. Inspired by Hilary Mantel, and helped by a lot of technology, I went back to work on a project I'd started, which is now Queen Victoria's Secret, the untold story of her father -- very much a prequel to Young Victoria.

I live in the Laurentian Mountains 90 minutes north of Montreal in the company of four cats, a forest, a mountain and a very deep peace.
