"Thanks, y'all. I've been hooked on words for as long as I can remember. It started with the light stuff; Tolkien, Lewis, you know how it is. After my first hit of Heinlein, I knew I couldn't stop. 



Before I knew it, I was into King and Koontz. Things got pretty dark. There were Elfstones, Shrikes, heroic lepers...  I couldn't get enough.



One day, I peered over the top of a cardboard screen from my seat at the head of the kitchen table. I needed more words, but I had to have some control over what they said. I hit a new low. I had turned to role-playing games for my fix.



A gang of bloodshot, greasy-haired social pariahs were calling me Dungeon Master. Their Cheetos-stained fingers aimed accusations of murder at me over pyramids of Mountain Dew cans. They were dead. I had killed them all! They had to know the Alien King was a plot device! How could they have missed the clues? Idiots!! All my hard work, Wasted!



I knew, then, I had hit rock bottom. But thanks to you, my readers, I turned my life around! I don't write for those guys anymore. Now, I write for you.
