I didn't always love reading. In fact, I hated it. I found it utterly boring.

That was, until I started homeschooling at the age of 11. That was when reading became my only source of entertainment.

I only ever read middle grade until I stumbled upon GRACELING. That led to its sequel, FIRE, and onto so many more YA novels until I had read nearly every book in my library's teen section.

Soon, I was reviewing for my library's teen blog. Then I discovered book blogs run by teens around my own age. And at 17, in September of 2010, I published my first post on IceyBooks. Now, I have more books than I can ever read.

Blogging led to designing, and then, writing. I've only ever written YA science fiction, but since publishing my YA space opera, UNBREATHABLE, I've been trying my hand at fantasy. I'll have to see where that takes me!
