"We must free ourselves of the hope that the sea will ever rest. We must learn to sail in high winds."
- Aristotle Onassis
My whole life had been a clashing of warm, happy memories and the glaring contrasts of being yelled at, scolded and attempts to mold me into something my parents wished for. I am not claiming my life was more hard than others, to me life has been balanced. I never grew into what my parents desired, they had my younger sister for that. I left home at nineteen to live with my then boyfriend, now husband, unseen lines had been crossed and my family nearly cut themselves completely out of my life. Once my parents realized I was not giving up my pursuit of love and the challenges that my husband and I faced together, they gave up on trying to steer me away from my own path. They allowed me to dance to my own drum as I always had when I was a child. Hardships ensued, one after the other and we grew tired of always being in need of assitance from family, my husband and I made a hard choice. I joined the United States Air Force and got us out of an endless cycle. We live with our two dogs and fat cat and hope to begin a life at sea in the near future.
I have always enjoyed writing, reading and gaining new adventures from the words placed on pages from the minds of artists. I find comfort in having a good book, a cup of tea and rain pouring down upon windows. My favorite season is Autumn.
