When I was two years old, I took a handful of crayons and a stack of construction paper and made a book.
It was terrible.
But I didn't know that.
When I was nine years old, I decided I wanted to become a published author, so I wrote a 10,000 word "novel."
It was also terrible.
But again, I didn't know that.
I fell in love with fantasy when I read "The Chronicles of Narnia" at ten years old. I loved the way it allowed me to step into a far-away world to explore real-life questions. So I wrote my first fantasy novel. Which, as you might've guessed, was terrible.
And finally, I realized I had a lot to learn.
So I learned. I learned about craft. I learned about publishing. I learned about world-building and theme and character development and all the other stuff that goes into making a great novel. And slowly, quietly, I began to realize that those not-so-wonderful beginnings had been excellent practice. I kept writing, and I kept growing, and I am so glad I did!
My current main project is the "Prince of the Barbarians Trilogy, " a YA fantasy series. The first two books are finished, and the third one is in the works, but nothing is published yet. If you want to read more of my writing, you can find some of my flash fiction on gohavok.com (search "Hannah Robinson" or "Ro Robinson").
Currently available on Wattpad is my retelling of Cinderella, a novella called "Ugly,".
Although I hope to eventually turn writing into a full-time job, in the meantime, I'm working on a backup plan. In real life, I'm a grad student living in New England. I love crafting and run an Etsy store (Sanctuary Cottage). My other hobbies include music, hiking, and drinking tea. If you want to find out more about me or my writing, or if you want to contact me, you can find me on Instagram @ro.robinson.writes .
I hope you are inspired by my writing. In the midst of all the legends, may these stories encourage you to seek the Truth.
