Okay, okay. I know this might be long, but I wanted to make a quick announcement.
I know that I have officially joined Wattpad in less than a month ago, but I'm deciding to take a break from it, either starting from now or the end of August. This might seem abrupt, but I have my reasons. First of all, I will be a sophomore in fall of 2022 taking 4 AP classes. I have high academic expectations and I plan to apply for a program at my dream college that expects a 3.9-4.0 unweighted GPA and high-weighted extracurriculars. Also, I feel like Wattpad is beginning to affect my productivity and relationships with my family members. I spend too much time on my phone and consequently don't get work done. My parents and my sister are honestly quite disappointed in me. However, this doesn't mean that I regret spending all this time reading Wattpad --- I personally love Wattpad and the various array of options it offers. In fact, I might even log back in during Thanksgiving or Winter Break and read a few books. It's just that I have to put my top priorities first, which is to get into a good college and be able to choose the career path I enjoy. I feel that it's just "wrong place, wrong time" for Wattpad and I right now. I mean, if I am currently working or retired, heck, I might even write a few novels!
I'm definitely not giving up on Wattpad; I will come back to it when I reach my goal (around a few years later). For now, feel free to enjoy the books in my reading lists or the books/reading lists in people I follow. This is honestly just a self-note for me (I'm not planning for anyone to read it lol). I believe that writing this down would motivate me more than just a mental note. For any of you who randomly stumble upon my page, just remember that sometimes you have to give up the best things to receive something better.
