Hello everyone~
It’s already been two months since I last updated Scales and Tales, and I really want to apologize to you all for not uploading anything and not communicating with you. I saw your comments, but since I hadn’t managed to write the next chapter, I felt guilty and didn’t know how to respond...
Why I haven’t updated: After releasing the last chapter, I felt a little writer’s block, and I thought I could get over it by reading the fanfics of others, since that inspired me to begin writing SaT. But the more I read those amazingly crafted stories, the more did I become self-conscious of mine – my story felt like it did not progress at all, and my characters seemed flat and boring in comparison.
So, I stopped writing for a while. A few weeks later, ideas about other stories started popping up in my head and the urge to write them down came back. For the last month, I’ve been writing a few different stories about Tian Jiarui’s characters while also feeling bad for not continuing SaT. Honestly, I would have put it on hold until I felt like resuming it, but seeing you guys commenting and asking for an update made me think that maybe, just maybe, my story isn’t the worst thing that’s ever been written and there are some people who actually like it.
So, long story short, I plan to write the next chapter over the next days and depending on how fast I write (Spoiler: I write as slows as a grandma xD), I might publish it sometime next week!
The post became longer than I wanted, so thank you for reading this whole thing! I also wanted to thank you guys in general - your kind comments and likes always make me happy, and every time I update, I’m super excited to see your reactions! <3
