            I've taken note of ur favourite authors & will give them a go :-)! Interesting that ur luv of reading comes from ur mother :-). Mine from my father. The main reason I ended up reading the classics was because he taught English (Lit) & we had all of them at home :-)!

@seema_ahmad my love for reading comes from my mother. My favorite writers are Alister McClain, Patricia Cornwall, and James Paterson.  But I read about anything that catches my interest.

            That's very encouraging - thank u :-)! I used to be an avid reader, like u, till I hit university. After that, reading became more of the required, rather than the entertaining kind ;-)! But I read many books before then, particularly the classics.
            
            I've been re-reading some recently & just as youth is lost on the young, (or so they say ;-), so is great writing! While I remember thoroughly enjoying the books at the time, I failed to recognize just how amazing they really r :-)! Re-read Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Oliver Twist recently, the former full of such entertaining, yet intelligent nonsense, the latter witty beyond measure, chock full of engaging characters, but also such pathos.
