I keep thinking back,
Every month of every year,
To the afternoon we met—
That crowded dance,
Where all I wanted was to sit with you.
The day you left,
And the day I found you again—
Tears in my classes,
Ecstatic, stumbling into you after school.
That moonlit walk away from the noise,
Dressed in our best,
The world faded around us.
