I didn't make the last leg of the challenge, I kinda got stuck and well, I know I am going to miss the deadline for the ONC 2026.

          	I have some ideas, like chase through the now closed museum of Living Computers+Labs, a bit of point an click hell, and maybe a twist. I just felt the deadline was too soon for something that I am cooking, especially doing research for 1990's area tech and lingo. So I failed the challenge, but hey, I'm just glad I participated.

Hi Inky,

          I came across your work and really enjoyed what you’re putting out especially [Wuthering Current].

          I work with authors to help them grow their presence on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, and one thing I’ve noticed is how much visibility and reader engagement can be left on the table when those channels aren’t fully leveraged.

          A lot of great authors end up relying heavily on marketplaces or publishers, when there’s actually a big opportunity to build a direct audience of loyal readers who follow and support every release.

          I’d be happy to share a few simple ideas tailored to your work no pressure at all. Let me know if you’d be open to a quick chat sometime

          Wishing you continued success with your writing!

          Emilia

Here is my "road to the finish line":

              ➡ Remaining Word Count: 11,840 words.
             ➡ Daily Target: I need to write roughly 623 words per day to finish on time.
              Chapter Count: I likely to need about 7 to 8 more chapters to hit the minimum.

I just added an "Chapter 0" to give an introduction to my story for the Open Novella Contest. I'm writing about 90's nostalgia, especially: 1990's software, CD-ROM gaming, and FMVs. So I figured having a glossary of terms (along with the prompts) would be a good reference for readers who may be unfamiliar with the lingo and terminology.

STATUS UPDATE: COMPLIANCE MET.
          I’ve officially hit the 8,000-word milestone for Round 2 of the Open Novella Contest! Chapter 4: The Sandbox Promise is live, and things are getting glitchy. We’re diving deep into the industrial grit of 1995 FMV cinema—think Crusader: No Remorse meets digital nightmare.
          Huge thanks to everyone following Cleo and Jules into the Archive. The Handshake is active... are you ready for the breach? ️⚡️ #ONC2026 #RetroComputing #SciFiHorror

Just published Chapter 3 for my entry for the ONC 2026, trying to get to my goal of 8,000 words before 31 March 2026. Roughly two more weeks to go!

@InkyHeart You’re welcome. And I think that’s a great idea!

@spacetodream Thank you for your commentary, I'm biting my nails along with you! I'm thinking of posting a chapter "0" for a lexicon of 90's era computer terms, for the newer gens, just in case.
