Born in Portugal but raised in South Africa, I am one of those odd people whose sentences sometimes begin in one language and end in another.

After a few years dedicating my life to combat engineering, I somehow managed to fool the Portuguese government into offering me a pistol and a badge. This achievement is still a source of some amusement to me. I have since been working as a Police officer by day, but at night I read and write science fiction novels.

My greatest enemy? Television. Oh, and Youtube. Especially the funny cat videos. That'll distract me from my writing in an instant. On the other hand, I also rely heavily upon Youtube's epic music clips for writing inspiration.
