          a cannibal whose a well known psychiatrist, taking on patients to help them. experimental treatments aren't unknown to him whether they are from drugs or other means.  he is curious to the human mind and to just how it tastes.  the rude being those he feeds on most, but anyone is up to being on his sliver plates.  so inhuman, he resembles the mythical creature, wendigo. perhaps he isn't human? a spirit cursed to feed on his own mind until his heart stops beating then some more.  but, after all, they are simply rumors.
