Sorry it's a bit long but I wanted to try and convey as much advice as I can think of

So a good way to create a story I still look up words in a dictionary that pair well with each other and it helps you create a storyline around them along with character ideas for their personalities if you choose to create an OC character to insert into a book. Or if you're using the existing characters of a franchise it's best to explore their feelings deeper than what a show can convey and it helps alot . And the inter conflicts of what those characters face whether it be the consequences of those feelings and choices or figuring out how to deal with them in a healthy way. Right now im working on grandmaster of demonic cultivation and heaven officials blessing. FanFictions. A good example is I take our main character who's normally seen as a vicious villain but in reality things that happened were out of his control and he was only dealing the cards he was dealt therefore he did his best with the tools he was given. It's a good way to explore that way of thinking in a book if you only have so many tools at your disposal you could think about the tools that are at their disposal and really play with the idea around it. Or taking the word" destiny" and make it into a warped version that has a deeper meaning to it . Rather than the very classic "Destiny is Destiny because of magic and stuff"; when you could instead use the word destiny as a negative rather than a positive in a character's story and it really helps create a deeper connection between different characters and explores the morality of whatever character is being focused on. 

@IsabelCarbajal605 oh thank you so much i worked really hard to make the oc's relatable when it came to hard choices the character's are faced with . And yeah my best advice is to start off with making a oc backstory if you end up using a oc . I draw my iwn most of the time so thats usually how I start . Once i make a back story. I try to paid the feelings with the characters I make with similar feelings and choices the Lego monkey kid characters make with what they go through although fundamentally different choices and feelings the core idea of the feeling like "regret " is a good example to play with simple words can be used in different ways .
