charcoals and diamonds,
both are actually made of carbon.
one shines as if it were a star,
but is cold as glass.
forged under pressure,
it can last.
the other is always in the background,
providing warmth and light.
it burns itself up,
but when it does, it's so bright
both sacrifice something to be able to reach their peak.
so why is the strong so much more valuable than the weak?
