Huh. Looks like the US is banning Tiktok. I took a look at an article from UsaToday and here’s what I’ve gathered.
          
          Essentially, if the bill passes the Senate, ByteDance (its parent company) would have two options: either sell the US side of Tiktok to another company (Microsoft or such wouldn’t buy it thanks to anti-trust laws, thanks Teddy Roosevelt) or let it be banned in the US.
          
          The only obstacle between the passing of the bill appears to be the Senate. Biden already announced that he would sign the bill if it got through the whole system, so we’ll have to wait and see how a ban on Tiktok fares in the Senate.
          
          
          
          My thoughts? Well, good riddance. Tiktok is Tiktok, and I can’t bring anything new to that conversation.
          
          However, I do need to point out that this does leave us with one fewer video streaming platform. Given the fact that Youtube is a de-facto monopoly at this point, I do wonder how the fall of Tiktok would impact them. 
          
          Also, I want to make the connection between Tiktok and Fortnite. I’m sure some have heard it before, but both are famous for acting as magnets to toxic users. If Tiktok does get banned in the US, the rest of the internet could be polluted with alumni from the University of Stupid.
          
          Tiktok, in a way, is like a bit of acne. It’s annoying, but do you really want to deal with the bacteria and scarring if you get rid of it?

The longer you stay on Wattpad, the more you start to realize that everyone on here has absolutely terrible mental health.
          
          Yes I’m saying something on here to try and curb my insomnia; my life barely let me do anything today, so ya gotta find something to do for once…
          
          Oh, and I just remembered.
          
          The prologue for the Murder Drones Collab is going to finally come out this week; I was able to fully edit it and now I’m just running the manuscript through ChatGPT to see what I can improve. Should be ready by Monday.
          
          Anyway, I fucking hate the size of the United States; wasted 4 hours of my life on the road today being dragged to a tiny little restaurant and now I’m pissed because I physically and mentally cannot sleep despite it being 1 and a half in the morning. 
          
          I need sleep.
          
          Sleep comes when you get things done.
          
          Why am I only now just realizing how ironic that is, given I haven’t written Scornful Rejects yet?
          
          No wonder I can’t sleep.
          
          I’ll probably regret writing this when I wake up and check wattpad in the morning, but eh. Who cares?
          
          Welcome to my rambling. Hopefully the first part of this update was useful, since the second sounds like I got drunk and high at the same time.
