They killed off both of their mentally, physically, and psychologically tortured and abused female characters by writing about
            how the only way they could EVER be free from the cycle of abuse was to… end their lives?? El wasn’t even 17 yet. Joyce was basically just an accessory to will and they had her absolutely nothing to do this season despite winona ryder being the ONLY reason this show popped off on the first place, it’s obvious they were heavily catering to the GA the all the steve/steve + dustin duo fan service, they had Will sympathize with his abuser in the finale, they added like 17 new characters that did absolutely nothing for the story but take away screen time from the main characters, mike had a very depressing ending where he basically just becomes his father aka ‘conforming’ to the norm of society, i could go on but i think im reaching the word limit again 

@enjimatsu97 /1 so basically it was a REALLY lazy ending, just a lot of plot holes and inconsistencies and absolutely zero stakesㅠㅠ the duffer brothers made a LOT of promises about this season that they didn’t fulfill and it turns out not only were they using chat gpt to write the scripts, but it’s very likely that it was actually one of their WIVES that was doing a lot of the heavy lifting in the writing department backstage. they also left Will’s arc about his sexuality and his feelings for Mike unresolved so that they could drag that plot line into season five even though they ADMITTED after the finale came out that they initially were going to wrap it up in season four… just so they could keep their queer viewership without actually giving Will a satisfying ending. they basically had him go through five seasons of straight up torture p*rn because the duffer brothers have a weird obsession with humiliating noah schnapp and they struggle to separate actor from character •_• (that’s not even a joke, there’s recent interviews with them making some really passive aggressive digs at him and there was an old video recently spread around of one of them punching a dummy duplicate of noah in the face and sending it to his mother to scare her, and mind you noah was around 12 at the time and this was a grown a** man joking about hurting him)
