I started writing when I was ten.
I'd get home from school and go upstairs to "do my homework". But really, I'd be writing stories. Whenever my mom came upstairs to check on me, I'd quickly click out of my story to an internet page that looked like homework. And then she'd leave and I'd get back to my story.
It's what I love to do. I'm stuck in my head all day thinking about my characters and their problems. It keeps me from thinking about my problems. I guess that's why we become writers, isn't it?
