No that is not my real name. Ever heard of a Pen-name? I'm searching for a good Alias to write under. :D
I'm not going to tell you my music taste (even if I did you probably wouldn't know them; hehe), I think I'll tell you about my choice of reads.
"The Secret History" by Donna Tart, "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Bronte, "To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harper Lee, "The Obernewtyn Chronicles" by Isobelle Carmody and many others, mainly those featured on the "Penguin Classics" list... :D
A few of those authors have only ever written one famous book so I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the author more than the book. One amazing book in a life time is better than a scrawl a trashy Mills and Boon literature.
Maybe I should add the Great Gatsby there too... who knows.
Sadly I only really only have one inspiration for poetry, that comes from Peter Skrzynecki (Sche-neski), the poet I studied in my senior year of high school. If any of the whiny teens on this site ever actually read a published poem, they'd all be like "huh?" and I would be too. Poetry is a hard thing to understand and I don't think anyone has the right to actually attempt to write a poem until they have studied the text-type. Slightly contradictory to myself, but anyway, don't just think you can write drivvel and call it a poem. If you want to scribble out some emotions, do it and call it something new or even just "a piece of writing", because the fact is it's probably not a poem.
Anyway, that's my views on writing in a nutshell. Please check out my works. (^_^)/

Just added a new piece to Dusk, so that's Chapter 2 finished. I'm going to start speeding up the writing, hope you like it. :D
