His next novel, "The Great Gun" follows the protagonist of City of the Sun as he attempts to thwart the theft of a massive gun by Confederates who hid it amid the ruins of the Augusta Powder Works. Designed to fire a one ton shell on Washington, both Union and British Intelligence seek to seize the gun before it can be turned against them.
