Ask me to tell you a story about werewolves, vampires, or a princess and a knight saving their kingdom. I have been writing for sixteen years, and foolishly published my first novel at 22. One should go over writing shared with the public with a fine tooth comb. I thought I had, but I was wrong. Like my Nana always says, "Measure twice, cut once." I learned my lesson, and have published others since.

In these past sixteen years, I have written Harry Potter fanfiction, young adult romance, and two collections of poems. My heart and soul when it comes to writing is what I call, "Modern Mythology." I love learning about the myths of old, be them Anubis, Zeus, and Thor, or sphinxes, oni, and kelpies. I really love writing about werewolves. My motto is, "Writing paranormal allows us to explore the realities of life." Which, when you think about it, is the reason the ancients created the myths. 

I grew up in a small town, went to college in a town built on ranching and agriculture, and love spending time in the outdoors of my State. I bring this to my writing in a genre I call, "Rural Fantasy", a play on Urban Fantasy. My characters spend a lot of time on back country roads and in deep forests. They swear ancient oaths, but salute the Stars and Stripes. You'll find trucks, country music, and mommas mentioned in my books. "Country is countrywide."

Every writers has passions, hobbies, and maybe those pesky things called day jobs. I actually have a great job. I get paid to play at recess everyday as an Instructional Aide. Between working at the school and working on my books, you may find me hiking, camping, or sucked into a show on Netflix - especially Sci-fi/Fantasy, cooking for a party, or exploring the sighs of my state.
