What happens when a failed musician, college dropout is forced to take care of the gay half-brother that he never knew existed? What doesn’t?

This was the simple pitch that started it all. From the moment audiences are introduced to 21-year-old Cale Henson, his 16-year-old half brother, Austin Maitland, and their equally talented and dynamic group of friends, they become hooked. No one, not even Vic and Mags, could have predicted how wildly popular the show would become. With its semi-musical format, stunning, fashionable, but quirky, characters, and it’s sometimes heart-pulling story lines that tackled hard hitting topics from date rape, to coming out of the closet, to steroid use, all surrounded by chart topping musical numbers performed by the cast themselves, Second Chances had everyone in America surprisingly demanding seconds. And the only thing that’s more interesting than the characters on the show are the actors and actresses that make them up. Wild parties, drunken interviews, diva attitudes, and violent explosions on set, are merely the tip of the iceberg. Behind the scenes, the cast of the show that is known for being dramatic has equally dramatic stars who struggle with substance abuse problems, weight and body issues, a closeted love affair between two of the cast, baby mama problems, and an obsessive and vocal fan base.

As Second Chances becomes increasingly popular, the show that no one thought would last, soon becomes the show America can't stop talking about.
