If Wattpad can bring back that stalkerish feature under the name "Social Feed," they might as well bring back Inbox messages too :/

arpithahegde

Hey how are you? Didn't see any new book must read is halat his replaced bride AI written have you seen everyone is praising telling it's not AI written have you read

JannatF61

@arpithahegde hiiii. I haven’t started any new book on wattpad for a while. I'm occasionally reading some books that I left in the middle previously. But I do add some books here & there which seem to have potential. But then I try reading a few lines and I instantly lose interest!! :(

Hey, it's been too long, isn't it? Hope you're doing well.

I just saw that you put Amidst Our Erred Stars in your DNF reading list, or at least that's what I'm thinking it is. Any reasons why? I was hoping to read it.

@JannatF61 I have come accross atleast 15 AI generated stories and it's so annoying but the so called author's claim they wrote themselves . It is painfully visible when a human writes or when an AI .

I definitely miss the old vibe, pacing, and storytelling in Prithvi :'(

Hello Jannat, hope ramzaan and eid went well. I was wondering if you know anything about Mirage by AimmyB coming back here or publishing somewhere else?

whosmitalianyway_ew

@nazukladki substack, the prologue has been out since November, but she was busy with her WIP then, maybe she'll focus on Mirage now. Should I mention her Substack ID too?

@Sarcastic1006 Honestly, her readers are mostly kids who just worship anything she puts out, like it’s some literary masterpiece. She herself has accepted that she uses AI to polish her writing, and people still defend it saying she’s busy, she posts long chapters, she doesn’t have time, etc. For me, though, a book doesn’t work like that. No matter how good your plot is, if you can’t actually write well, it’s pointless. And the fact that she’s earning thousands from it just makes me wonder where real creativity has gone these days.

Sarcastic1006

heyy, have you read "teri deewani", i think it's quite popular among desi wattpad books. i have read the first chapter ( tbh i was very disappointed ). if you have read it, i would like to hear your review.

(sorry if i'm bothering you , but i've read lots of book from your reading lists & loved most of them so i kinda think your review would be helpful )

Sarcastic1006

@1D_Princessa yk i checked out few readers account and found that most of them have joined a year ago and have only read "reels famous " books so ig they really haven't read good books of wattpad.

@JannatF61 Though I'm glad that old readers like you are still sticking around. Prithvi is already as underrated as it is

@JannatF61 Well, tbh prithvi's plot was never like extremely extraordinary. It was just the usual royal Romance. A prince and a common girl , again with the usual secret. If we draw the outline it's not that of a special but the way it unfolded, how everyone is connected with everyone, the timing of revealing every secret, the characters, their development and most importantly the WRITING.......all these are chef's kiss. No amount of outstanding plot can outdone the magic ranjana di created through her extraordinary writing. Especially prithvi himself as a character is one of the best I have read(minus the attitude ofcourse). I have never till now read any character with sarcasm or sense of humor as good as his. Seriously. But the plot doesn't feel as gripping anymore because I don't think anything is left anymore. Everything is already out in the open except for sword mystery for which we all have a common guess. The only thing left is for prini to reconcile and priyamvada to get her head straight. So idk what people want from this story anymore.

@JannatF61 So the book is the Heaven series by bhavini k desai. The first one is my most favvv the City of Pillars. It is a political romance with star-crossed lovers. Trust me, the book is sooo good and very different from the typical Indian fiction we usually see.
I loved the political angle in it. It is not just about romance at all. There are so many layers and themes the best part is that it is based on Kashmir, and it gives full veer zaara vibes.

@JannatF61 Soo true, I also mostly just reread my fav books now. I still can't believe Wattpad used to be such a comfort place and now it feels so different yrr. The reason why I messaged you because your book choices are always really good. I was checking your reading list and noticed you have not added anything new lately.
have been trying to read more published books these days and recently discovered this series by an Indian writer. It is honestly so amazing. I am pretty sure you will love it. I can tell you the name if you want.

MissOverfeel

heyy are you not reading anything new?

JannatF61

@MissOverfeel Don’t worry, I’ll manage to get them, but still, if I stumble, I’ll ask you. Thanks so much for your recommendations; they seem really interesting! If you come across any more good books, I’d love to know about them.

            Yeah..do share your recommendations ❤️

I've been reading "Wedding Mayhem" by Aashi Irf. It started well then it started going to certain direction that I wasn’t liking! I still have some pages left though!

I’m not active on Wattpad anymore. I only visit when there’s an update on "Prithvi." Wattpad just isn’t fun anymore. Most books now feel like they’re written using ChatGPT, and there’s an exhausting race for votes and views. Writers even blackmail readers for votes in exchange for the next update! It’s no longer about creativity or enjoyment.
On top of that, many writers either shift platforms or take down their books midway once they start chasing paid promotions. As a reader, all of this has become incredibly draining. These days, I mostly reread my favourite books or explore older works by writers from the pre-ChatGPT era.
