I am brand new here and I love to write (and read). If I had my wish, I'd be a writer for a living but we all know how unlikely that is so I am currently in college to be an elementary teacher. Next year will be my last year. I like to write historical fiction the most and am working on a series using the American West and mail order brides (yes, they did have them). Every now and again I do come back to present though.

Please don't ask me to read your paranormal or horror stories. I hate them (I don't care if you're the next Stephen King - I hate his stuff too.) Also, please don't ask me to read mysteries. I like mysteries but have found that so few people write them well that it is a chore to get through them. I usually only read completed stories because if it is good I will want to finish it. (Just trying to prevent my inbox from being inundated because it's happened before and I had a hard time saying no. I wasted a lot of hours reading stuff as a favor to someone because they asked nicely and then trying to think of something good to say about it. I'm too busy for that now. I'll only read what I like.
