Former Army Engineer Corps. Yes, I survived that.

I eventually traded the Army for a teaching degree, because apparently I enjoy making questionable life choices. I'm still teaching... and I still hate it.

When I'm not pretending to have my life together, I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, a mom to two incredible boys, and a woman who would much rather be somewhere dusty, preferably on horseback, with a good story to tell.

I write because sometimes the stories in my head refuse to shut up.

There'll probably be horses, outlaws, heartbreak, trouble, strong women, questionable decisions, and the occasional man who absolutely deserves what's coming to him.

So saddle up.
