Also the way I see it, reading fanfiction and imagines is what really f*cks with our heads because while we know that what we read is not actually true, it still creates a misconception of the bts members characters and personalities. We don’t know how they are irl. Who knows, maybe if you met Jimin irl and spent some time with him you’d find him a bit annoying or whatever. The way they look on camera is rarely the same with their actual personalities, and that’s because they purposefully want to appeal to their audience and fans, which is not wrong but it still gets younger fans confused. I’m really ranting rn lmaoo I’m so sorry 

Sounds like you recently fell into the bts hole.. I’ll pray for you. Lol don’t worry though, it does get better. You’ll keep being obsessed with them for 1,5-2 years and then all of a sudden you’ll start questioning why u r so obsessed with people you don’t even know irl jn the first place. After that you’ll hopefully realise that they are idols and not the same people you read about in fanfics and you’ll gradually start admiring them and being helpful for their work and music rather than see them in an erotic way. I’m on my way to getting rid of my bts/jungkook addiction too and it’s hard lol  sorry for the rant but you asked for an explanation lmao
