I really, really love the feel of this story. The end makes me wish it were a short story in itself. Minor puncuation and maybe some sentence structure are the only hang ups for me...but as you know everyone's a critic lol ;) I hope I don't offend. Thank you so much for sharing this, you are great!

@JillStroberger Just saw this note. Thanks for taking the time to comment on the story. I appreciate that very much. So glad you enjoyed it, particularly the characters. I find it a struggle to develop characters in a plot-dominated story like this. Still tweaking Peter's character, trying to reveal more of his feelings. If I could start this story from scratch, I might write more from Delbert's, Demi's and Davila's perspectives.

Characters were relatable, as a reader it was easy to develop feelings and investment in their wellbeing, making it a sit on the edge of your seat/ cannot read fast enough thrill ride.
