I am an English major, and ex- composition teacher. I decided to give up teaching to be a stay at home mom for a few years. During that time, I'm going to try to get all these stories that have been swimming around in my head out on paper. I'm totally into romance, but the classic kind. I can't stand picking up a romance book only to find that it's more like erotica than anything. I can get really absorbed in Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte...those romance books are edgy, yet somehow still clean. The males are nearly always alpha, which I mean, come on girls we all know the alpha male makes or breaks the romance book. I have these stories in my mind that take after the story line of many of Jane Austen's books, but are set in modern day. I want to write books that are edgy, with a somewhat dangerous hero/feisty heroine without writing anything graphic. I want it to leave something to the imagination. So my goal is tasteful, intriguing, but edgy and maybe even a little politically incorrect. Let me know how I'm doing :)
