CW: Social justice.
          
          The recent social climate in the US has led to a lot of us checking their privilege. I fear we are leaving out crucial parts of the social justice equation. For the movement of Black liberation, the abolishment of slavery was the first step. So now, slaves don't exist anymore?
          
          Well, I'd love to agree, but we are living in an all-time high of slavery. It's just not openly visible. We are accustomed to a life of luxury to the point where we think we are entitled to our wealth. But it's on the backs of the poor that we rise. Your politicians advocate for "prosperity"? They might as well be advocating for slavery.

With the recent posts about a transphobic/homophobic person stalking and publishing people's details, I wonder if I should have been more outspoken about privacy. 
          
          I've always been stumped how many personal details make their way across this very public platform, especially in the form of tags. Maybe I should have said something, but I felt like I'd be considered a party pooper. 
          
          Well, better now than never: 
          Do not put identifying information on public platforms. Never publish your address or even full name ever! Your first name, your age and your picture should only be shared if necessary. 
          
          If you want to share things like selfies with friends you made here, do so over private communication channels. A discord server is not necessarily safe for personal information, unless you have reason to trust every single person on there.
          Also, make sure the people you communicate with are really who they say they are, long before you share information with them. 
          
          Be outspoken about your thoughts, but be mindful about who can trace them back to you.

Ezra Furman has one of the best collections of wikipedia article ever. The authors of the different language articles can't decide which pronouns to use with Ezra, since Ezra uses both he/him and she/her pronouns, so we get: 
          Male Pronouns: French, German
          female pronouns: Swedish, English, Portuguese, Arabic
          
          (I'm weirdly proud, that I had to use a translator for only one of the languages xD)
