I just found out about these 'supported stories' and honestly I'm so pissed off. The thing everyone knows this app for is writing and reading for.... FREE. But you know whats not free anymore? READING. An app thats suppose to encourage you to read is making you PAY to read books by (not offense) random people. People who have like all of us come to read and write and share our love for both. I never thought this app would turn into a 'pay to play' kinda thing and thats why I've felt safe here for over 5 years. I like many have stopped this app has gone down hill and now they're CHARGING the last of those who avidly read. This use to be a safe place where I found my happiness in my suicidal moments and I'm heartbrokem that it's fallen this far to change what many know this app for: being free. 
          	
          	Don't get me wrong paying authors is fine but dont you think you could do that with ads like it seems you have been? Remember when you wouldnt get pop ups between chapters like commercials on tv? When between each chapter you were reminded who the author was and related stories? That didn't take 30 seconds which feels like a million when your left on the cliff hanger of the last chapter. In my findings so many more people used this app then and now all we do is come on every once in awhile or, like myself, use it like Google Docs to write from anywhere. But that isn't the point of this. This is for free writing and reading, can't we keep it at that?

@Kaitlyyyyyyyn I agree 100% and ranted about this a while ago but I think it somehow got deleted? It's honestly sickening. For something that has been free for so long to suddenly have premium and stuff where you have to pay or where you have to watch commercials. I put my content on here because it was free and fun and not for some site to make money off of my writing and the people reading it. Honestly, Wattpad has been my favorite site, but now I just feel like going somewhere else like inkitt or ao3 or something. Idk it just really shows how wattpad is all about money now and not it's creators who helped build it to what it is and that's the tea.
